Las Vegas, NV – For the first quarter of 2022, Senator Catherine Cortez Masto raised over $4.4 million, nearly $2 million more than any Nevada Senate candidate has ever raised during this fundraising quarter. Cortez Masto has $11 million cash on hand, which is also a record for Nevada at this point in the cycle.
Cortez Masto received support from 8,448 individuals this quarter. 96% of campaign contributions were $100 or less, and the average donation was $49. More than 140,000 individuals have donated to Cortez Masto’s re-election campaign since January 2021.
“While Senator Cortez Masto continues to fight for the people of Nevada, our campaign is making sure she has the resources to win,” said Tyler Langdon, Finance Director for Cortez Masto for Senate.
The Cortez Masto campaign first went up on the air with English and Spanish language advertising in March, highlighting the Senator’s life story and her career fighting for the people of Nevada. She made an early, $10 million reservation in television advertisements for the final stretch of the 2022 campaign, from Labor Day through election day.
